Winnipeg continues to grow

Lots coming to Winnipeg soon in the way of retailers and new developments. We're still waiting for the Ikea to be completed, and now they're talking about a big discount outlet similar to the one near Minneapolis called Albertville.

All kinds of other rumors have been circulating the last year, from H&M to several other big names have been mentioned. The most recent possibility is a new hotel on Waterfront Drive.

There's also talk of what's going to be developed next to Winnipeg's new stadium once its complete.

Winnipeg Football Stadium

The new football stadium in Winnipeg might cost a little more than planned. Originally proposed at $115 million, it's now risen to $160 million. Oops, not off by much...

Coming to Winnipeg

Besides the ikea and other stores, or all the bands lately, there's a rumor that Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming to Winnipeg. The governor is supposed to be here in Winnipeg in January 2011! Something about a conference or workshop, more to follow.

Canada To America

Here's a great video where Tom Brokaw Explains Canada To Americans, and the relationship between the two countries.

Winnipeg - Coming Soon

Lots of great stuff is in the works around the city.

There's a big development on route 90 starting, home to our future Ikea.

The Canadian museum of human rights (CMHR) is taking shape and will probably be done next year.
